If I told you how much we have spent on gaming stuff in the last few months you would be shocked- maybe even appalled. We bought a Wii in November ( + 2 sets of nun chucks and remotes, wii sports kit) and upteen different games. Then came the Playstation 3- 2 more remotes - which we lucky to get at an open box price for 24.99) , a blu-wave controller, tons of games and last month another 200.00 on Rock Band . My daughter was dying to get Sing Star and looking at and hearing from EVERY SINGLE gamer we had ever met that we should get Rock Band- we took the plunge. My kids have had SOOOO much fun. We love watching them play and our house is filled with kids playing in various bands. It has been a ton of fun. Comes with a microphone, drum kit( hardder than you think!) and guitar.

In terms of play value it has been excellent and I do not hesitate to recommend. It is great for all ages and both boys and girls. It encourages co-operative play- unusual in a video game.

I had mentioned in an earlier post that we were going to Las Vegas and might got to to the National rodeo. What should we northerners wear ? I have been looking at western and phone some nice stuff at Cavender’s western wear, but will I look RIDICUOUS? Do you have to grow up wearing cowboy boots and rodeo shirts to looks natural in it? I found some gorgeous boots that I have fallen in love with on their site.

Look for me at the rodeo- I will be the one with their cowboy boots tucked in their jeans looking like I wandered in from the 1970’s !

EB Games Promo For Free Nintendo DS

This is a pretty good deal. I didn’t think our games were valuable enough- but we came out really well. You can trade in 5 games with Trade In value of 8.00 or more and get a new DS, No strings. They do not take Gameboy games or X-box games for this promo. They DO take Gamecube, X-Box 360, Nintendo DS, Playstation2 and Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

You are also supposed to have original game case and instructions. I did not have instructions for most of mine. Here’s what I traded in and the trade In value for the games. EB Games is SO cagey about values! here is a pretty good list of current EB Games Canada trade in values for games (for most platforms including gameboy, etc)

Mario Party 7 for Gamecube ( with mic) was 21.00

Final Fantasy 3 for Nintendo DS- $8.00

Fantastic Four- Return of the Silver Surfer for Playstation 3 ( I bought new for 19.99 ) $ 8.00

Spyro- The New Beginning Trade In - 8.00 ( bought new 14.99)

Cosmic Family for Wii - 8.00 ( I bought for 22.95)

This worked out well for us. I was surprised. Games no one of liked and we walked out with a brand new Nintendo DS.

What do you do when you forget password for protected content on your Creative Zen MP# Player?

How to access you protected content when you forget your password for Creative Zen mp3 player.

This happened to me today- Late last night I was fooling around with system setting and added a password for protected content… Today I totally forgot the password for protected content, and it asks you to enter you new password to disable or access. ARGH.

No help anywhere on Creative forums.

The only way around this is to use Clean-up functions depending on whet player you have there are different ways to access ( with Creative AEN M and Creative Zen V + you just use reset button) The reset button is the TINY whole on sire- you stick in a pin or similar to depress. I use an earring stud.

You will not lose any of your music- but you will lose your settings. i.e Theme, Bookmarks and custimized settings.

Here is How to remove password from Creative ZEN Mp3 player if you forget your password from protected content

1.Turn off your player.

2.Press and hold play/pause buttin. Continue to hold until you perform Steps 3 and 4. If you accidentally release the button, start the procedure again.

3.Gently push the end of a thin object (like a pin or straightened paperclip) into the Reset hole.

4.Slide the On/Off/Lock switch towards and hold until the display lights up. The Recovery Mode screen appears, and four menu items are shown: Clean Up, Format All, Reload Firmware and Reboot.

To clean up your player’s memory, select Clean Up.

When the cleanup is complete, select Reboot. Your player restarts and starts rebuilding its music library.You will lose you bookmarks and other settings .
