I had mentioned in an earlier post that we were going to Las Vegas and might got to to the National rodeo. What should we northerners wear ? I have been looking at western and phone some nice stuff at Cavender’s western wear, but will I look RIDICUOUS? Do you have to grow up wearing cowboy boots and rodeo shirts to looks natural in it? I found some gorgeous boots that I have fallen in love with on their site.
Look for me at the rodeo- I will be the one with their cowboy boots tucked in their jeans looking like I wandered in from the 1970’s !

My brother is getting married and sprung on the family that he is planning a “destination” wedding. ARGH. I hate when people do this to you! I have to spend thousands of dollars to got to some one else’s wedding. He is my brother so will be schlepping everyone down t Las Vegas for the week.
We have been looking for stuff to do other than gamble. I am not against gambling- we just have kids and we need to find some activities to do with them. My friend suggested we go to the rodeo! The will be a big deal rode on that week. Looking for Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets I was surprised at the cost! Was a bit more than I thought it would be. Tickets run around two hundred dollars.
It really will be a once in lifetime experience- I can’t see us going to many others! I did get a chance to see Calgary Stampede when I was younger and it was unbelievable- a real spectacle. I think my kids- especially my youngest son will get a real “kick ” out of seeing a real live rodeo . The rodeo takes place over several days and will feature some of the foremost cowboys in North America.

We will be taking off to Florida soon for our annual snowbird-ing.
The weather is really warm right now so a little hard to get excited about the 3 day drive… towing toys, boats, etc all the way down. ARGH. Like every year I dread getting the boat into the water… The Marina that we use does have a really good lift and good marine hardware but it still is a drag. Once the boat is safely in the water I can relax and worry about fishing …
I would say that the best lifts are made by Marine Travelift and I suppose they do make a dreaded job a bit less painless
. Next to closing our pool hauling the boat in and out of water is RIGHT UP there on my hate to do list! Thank god for husbands.
